On 2 June 2021, Yingde Gases and Shandong Taishan Steel Group signed a strategic partnership agreement in Jinan, Shandong whereby Yingde Gases was commissioned to build a new 40,000 Nm³/h air separation unit to supply industrial gases for Taishan Steel.
Against the backdrop of a strong partnership between Yingde Gases and Taishan Steel, the new air separation unit will fulfill Taishan Steel's new gas demands and support Taishan Steel's upgrading efforts of its industrial structure and the construction of new urban steel factories.
Yingde Gases' CEO Fang Shiwen said, "Currently, Yingde Gases is actively promoting the green conversion of energy and using green hydrogen to empower the industry. Through this partnership, both parties will explore working more closely in the areas of low-carbon metallurgy and hydrogen metallurgy, thereby contributing to the national '3060' goal of achieving carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060."
