Yingde Gases'"Tsinghua Furnace" Sets a New Coal Input Record
2021-12-20

At 1:08 on 20 December 2021, the "Tsinghua Furnace", a cold-wall type coal-water slurry gasifier, commenced operations for the first time in the first phase of the Wulan Tai'an Large-Scale Energy Fertilizer Project in Inner Mongolia. Yingde Gases licensed the patent of the said furnace and provided the relevant technical support. This project involves two units of the "Tsinghua Furnace", with each unit having a coal input capacity of 2350 tons, vaporization pressure of 6.5MPa and an effective gas (CO+H2) production capacity of 114,000m3/h. "Furnace A", which was put into operations this round, set a new coal input record for the "Tsinghua Furnace" in China.

The large-scale fertilizer project is funded and constructed by Xing'anmeng Wulan Tai'an Energy Chemical Ltd., a fully-owned subsidiary of Wulan Coal Group. Upon completion of the project, which employs the most advanced and mature technologies in the domestic coal chemical industry, it is expected to boast the world's largest single-plant production capacity for urea synthesis.

Besides licensing the patented "Tsinghua Furnace" gasification devices for the large-scale fertilizer project, Yingde Gases also provides support in terms of the process package, personnel training and technical guidance to ensure the safe construction and stable production of the project.
