On 25 November 2021, Yingde Gases and Baosteel Gases successfully held their first "Supplier Day" event at Jingmen, Hubei. Group Executive Director and CEO Fang Shiwen and CFO Huang Siying were among those present at the event which hosted in-depth exchanges among nearly 60 suppliers across the country.

The event, which was themed "Working together to create a better future", was held with the objective of establishing a communication platform with partners. It is hoped that this platform would promote mutual interaction and understanding while enabling all parties to discuss development plans and continue producing outstanding results.

In 2020, Yingde Gases and Baosteel Gases performed a comprehensive integration exercise, driving strategic reforms and performing management and business upgrades based on its new corporate culture. Since then, these changes have yielded many results.

The state of one's corporate culture defines the heights that a company can scale. Yingde Gases and Baosteel Gases have sought to establish a corporate culture that is based on openness, progress, respect and responsibility to fulfill the business demands of the current times and enable rapid development in the future. Fang Shiwen said, "'Openness' represents our embracing of diversity, while 'progress' stems from our attitude of proactive learning. 'Respect' stands for the way we treat all individuals equally, and 'responsibility' signals our commitment to truly walk the talk."

In recent years, Yingde Gases and Baosteel Gases have worked tirelessly to form new supply chain relationships to tackle the rapid changes in the economic situation and market environment. Part of these measures involve focusing on full life cycle procurement costs, whereby procurement data is collected, analyzed and managed on an informatized procurement platform. They also advocate for sales-based procurement, whereby the procurement component is moved to the front-end of business development. In moving the procurement component closer to the market, it would enable a better understanding of demand dynamics at close range. Close partnerships are also established with suppliers based on the principles of win-win partnerships.

To thank their suppliers for their long-term support, and in the spirit of staying grounded in the current businesses while anticipating future partnerships, Yingde Gases conferred awards to suppliers with respective titles ranging from quality excellence, service excellence, technological innovation, best synergy and strategic partnership awards.

After the event, the supplier representatives had a tour of the Jingmen Yingde premises.

Having commenced production in 2018, Jingmen Yingde serves as the gas supply center for the park, providing clients within the park with industrial gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

In the future, Jingmen Yingde will embark on the in-depth exploration of green development, development of rooftop distributed energy generation systems, and exploration of CCUS+EOR carbon reduction initiatives for CO2 underground landfill storage and CO2 flooding systems. The company hopes that these initiatives will create green syngas plants, enable the synchronized development of the economy and environment, and provide innovative and sustainable gas solutions for customers across multiple industries.
